Perry Mrs. Jean Pierce Perry, 80, of Butler, died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Mrs. Perry was born in Butler on August 15, 1926. She was the daughter of the late William Crumley and Cora Presnell Pierce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Tate Perry, in 1993; a stepson, Edgar Tate "Sonny" Perry Jr.; and by eight sisters and four brothers. Mrs. Perry was a member of Pierce Baptist Church. Survivors include four sons, Steve Pierce of Bristol, Eddie Perry, Raymond Perry and Todd Perry, all of Butler; two daughters, Ruby Mast of Butler and Diane Johnson of Laurel Bloomery; three daughters-in-law, Barbara Perry, Audrey Perry and Faye Perry; and eight grandchildren, Carrie Mast Osborne, Angella Perry Graybeal, Tracy Johnson, Stacey Johnson, Holly Mast Johnson, Robert Perry, Shohn Perry and Brittany Perry. Eight great-grandchildren also survive. Graveside services for Mrs. Perry will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, in the Butler Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Harvey White officiating. Music will be provided by Sandy White and Kathy Pierce. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, will be Montie Pierce, Johnny Ray Pierce, Wesley Garland, Ronald Shupe, Arthur Smith and Jackie Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will be B.J. Horne, John Hammett, Russ Bonde, Stephen Miller, James Dean Forrester, Richard Moody, Jim Moody and Carroll Fletcher.
