Parlier Mrs. Alla Mae Parlier, 86, of Hanahan, S.C., and formerly of 517 Washington Avenue, Elizabethton, died Sunday, August 19, 2001, at Roper Hospital in Charleston, S.C. Mrs. Parlier was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Isaac and Rassie Messimore Clemons. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Chester H. Parlier, February 24, 1984, and a brother, Jack Clemons. Mrs. Parlier was a member of Grace Baptist Church, was a former Sunday School teacher and had 30 years of service to the Lord as the Church Clerk. She was a homemaker. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty and David Moore, Haines, City, Fla., Pat and Robert Bowers and Sue Linton, all of Hanahan, S.C.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bob Parlier, Elizabethton, and Jim and Judy Parlier, Paupa, New Guinea; and a sister, Juanita Gourley, Elizabethton. Thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Parlier will be returned to Elizabethton for funeral services and interment.
