Perry Mrs. Ethel L. Perry, 84, 262 Keenburg Road, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, February 26, 2002, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Perry was a lifelong resident of Carter County and a daughter of the l ate James and Cena Stout Ellis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Perry, in 1983, and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Perry was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Gene Perry, Loganville, Ga., and Larry James Perry, Elizabethton; three daughters, Bernice McAninch, Carolyn Blevins and Patty Simerly, all of Elizabethton; a sister, Kate Carr, Elizabethton; and nine grandchildren, Kristie McAninch, Charlie Blevins, Cena Howerton, Chase Simerly, Todd Perry, Molly DeRoche, Annette Frazier, Carolyn Sue Perry and Heike Perry. Thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Perry, 84, 262 Keenburg Road, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, February 26, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, February 28, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Lyons and Mr. David Burrell officiating. Music will be by Scott Reynolds, organist, Ray Don Markland and Jerry Barnett, soloists. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, in the Garden of The Last Supper at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Hensel Johnson, Sam Carr, Robert Lambert, Dr. Chris Downs, Dr. Kenneth Olive, Dr. Fredrick Seifers, Glen Nave, Ray Markland, Carl Burrough, the Staff of Hillview Nursing Home, the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class and fellow members of Harmony Baptist Church, friends and neighbors of the Keenburg Community. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund, Harmony Baptist Church, 130 Keenburg Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643 or to Special Olympics, Dawn of Hope, P.O. Box 30, Johnson City, TN 37605. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service.
