CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - James J. "Jim" Perry, 9 Apr 2003 ----¤¤¤---- James J. Perry James J. "Jim" Perry, 90, Appalachian Christian Village, Johnson City, and formerly of Elizabethton, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at Lakebridge Health Care Center, Johnson City, following a five-month illness. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late Nat T. Perry, Sr. and Mary Jackson Perry. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton. Mr. Perry was a retired employee of Paul Chapman Associates as a manufacturing representative. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ferris Missimer Perry, and his second wife, Marcella Brown Perry; three sisters, Hazel Shepherd, Elizabeth Trollinger, Helen Earnest, and one brother, Nat T. Perry, Jr. Survivors include one daughter, June Elizabeth Perry, Elizabethton; one grandson and spouse, Rev. MacHenry G. Schafer II, and Katherine Brown Schafer, of Lawrenceville, N.J.; three great grandchildren, Hunter James Schafer, Hannah Iona Schafer, Troy Kirk Schafer, all of Lawrenceville, N.J., and one sister, Donna Netherland, Elizabethton.
