CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Jewel Dean Perry, 1 Jul 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Jewel D. Perry Jewel Dean Perry, 75, Bingham Street, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at her residence. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret Perry. She was a retired employee of Kennametal, Johnson City. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a son, James Kenneth Davidson, Jr., 1990. Survivors include five daughters, June Bailey, Hampton; Beverly Walker, and Theresa McCrary, both of Johnson City, and Sherry Ritchie and Barbara Treadway, both of Elizabethton; a brother, Billy Wade Perry, of Elizabethton, and a sister, Elizabeth Walters, of Petaluma, Ca.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, and a very special friend, Scott Ritchie. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. PERRY -- Funeral services for Jewel Dean Perry, 75, Bingham Street, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2003 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Mike Koruschak and Mr. Dwayne Calhoun, ministers, officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 4, 2003 in Highland Cemetery. Music will be provided by No Name But His. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:40 a.m. Friday, will be Darrell Blackburn, Lawrence Turner, Jimmy Ray Charlton, Mike Taylor, Raymond Ritchie, and Roy Livingston. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Colvette and the staff of the Johnson City Cancer Center, employees of Kennametal, and the staff of Hospice Care. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence.
