CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Dorothy Evelyn Perry, 8 Jul 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Dorothy E. Perry Dorothy Evelyn Perry, 80, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003 in the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Robert T. and Caroline Emmert Williams. Mrs. Perry was a retired nurse from Carter County Memorial Hospital, having worked there for 37 years. She was a member of the East River Park Christian Church but attended the Valley Forge House of Prayer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Perry; a sister, Edna Poff, and two brothers, Eugene and George Williams. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Sid Davidson, Elizabethton; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Elsie Bradley, Sylvia Street, and Mary Esther and her husband, Harold Estep, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. PERRY -- Funeral services for Dorothy Evelyn Perry, 80, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, July 8, 2003 will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2003 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Russell and John H. Smith, ministers, officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2003 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday will be Lynn Estep, Douglas Estep, Glen Williams, Shelby Williams, Jerry Williams, Barton Edens, Tom Perry, Creighton Connley, Jess Fair and Bill Carter. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at her residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
