CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Coy L. Peters, 22 Nov 2002 ----¤¤¤---- Coy L. Peters Coy L. Peters, 89, formerly of Elizabethton, died Friday, November 22, 2002, at Erwin Health Care Center following an extended illness. Mr. Peters was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Robert and Maggie Lipps Peters. Mr. Peters was a Freewill Baptist and a former employee of Bemberg Corporation. Survivors include two daughters, Charlene Kane, Elizabethton, and Maxine Haffield, Vero Beach, Fla., and two sisters, Bertha Nell Sullins, Nashville, and Martha Whitt, Benton City, Wash. Four grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
