Coy L. Peters

Coy L. Peters, 89, formerly of Elizabethton, died Friday, November 22, 
2002, at Erwin Health Care Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Peters was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Robert and 
Maggie Lipps Peters.
Mr. Peters was a Freewill Baptist and a former employee of Bemberg 
Corporation.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlene Kane, Elizabethton, and Maxine 
Haffield, Vero Beach, Fla., and two sisters, Bertha Nell Sullins, Nashville, 
and Martha Whitt, Benton City, Wash. Four grandchildren, seven great-
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

PETERS -- Memorial services for Coy L. Peters, 89, formerly of Elizabethton, 
who died Friday, November 22, 2002, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, 
December 1, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. H. 
Brooks Peters officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your 
favorite charity. Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, is in charge of 
arrangements.
