Bernelda L. Peters

Mrs. Bernelda Lipps Peters, 82, 1681 U.S. Highway 91, Elizabethton, 
died Monday, February 3, 2003 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and 
Della Elliott Lipps. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Peters was a member of 
Unaka Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hooper Peters, July 5, 1991.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Gwendolyn and John Russell, 
Elizabethton; a sister, Anna Buchanan, Elizabethton; a grandson and his 
wife, Dale and Thomma Grindstaff, Elizabethton; and a great granddaughter, 
Natalie Grindstaff. Several nieces and nephews and a special friend, 
Louise Peters, also survive.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

PETERS -- Graveside services for Mrs. Bernelda Lipps Peters, 82, 1681 
U.S. Highway 91, Elizabethton, who died Monday, February 3, 2003, will 
be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2003 in the Wilson Cemetery 
with the Rev. Walker Roberson officiating. Burial will follow the service. 
Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 1:55 
p.m. Wednesday will be Steve Russell, Jason Russell, Tony Russell, Mark 
Watson, Travis Perry and Timmy Hardin. Friends may call at the funeral 
home or her residence at any time. Family and friends will assemble at 
the cemetery at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday. Condolences may be e-mailed to the

of arrangements.
