CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Dan Peters, 10 Apr 1949 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Obituary appeared in the April 11, 1949 Elizabethton Star Dan Peters, 61, died at his home on Route 2, Sunday at 8:15 pm. He suffered a heart attack at 6:00 pm while at the barn and was found by his wife. He was formerly employed by the American Bemberg Corporation but quit four years ago because of bad health. He was a member of the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fronia Peters; four daughters, Mrs. Joe Blevins and Mrs. Irene Laws both of Route 2; and Miss Berniece and Helen Peters of the home; five sons, Carl of Mount Vernon, Oregon, Glenn of San Francisco, Calif., and R.C., Leonard and Jackie Peters all of the home; one sister, Mrs. Martha Garland of Johnson City; one brother, John Peters, Sr., of Route 2, Elizabethton; nine grandchildren and one step grandchild. Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending word from a son. The body will be returned to the home today at 4:00 pm from the chapel of the Tetrick Funeral Home. (Dan was the son of Reuben B.
