Obituary appeared in the Saturday, November 6, 1965 Elizabethton Star
 
Mrs. Peggy Allen Peters, age 23 of Route 7, Elizabethton, died unexpectedly in
Carter County Memorial Hospital Friday morning.  She was a member of the Union
Baptist Church.  Survivors are her husband, William Z. Peters; one daughter,
Kitty Lynn Peters, and one son, Gregory Zane Peters, both of the home; the
parents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Smith, Hampton; one sister, Mrs, Gay Nell
Lambert, Rt. 2, Butler; two brothers, Howard Smith and Lester Smith, both of
Hampton.  Hathaway - Percy Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

(Peggy was the daughter of John Smith 1915-1977 and Ruby Sheppard 1922-after
1990.)
