CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Nell Peters Pierce, 21 Mar 1994 ----¤¤¤---- Obituary appeared in the Tuesday, March 22, 1994 Elizabethton Star Mrs. Nell Peters Pierce, 85, Rt. 2. Hampton, died Monday, March 21, 1994, at Johnson County Hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Pierce was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late G.F. and JoAnn Archer Peters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh G. "Bruce" Pierce, February 24, 1989. Mrs. Pierce was a member of the Hampton Christian Church. Survivors include a daugher and son-in-law, Etta Jo and Albert "Bud" Honeycutt, Rt. 3, Butler; a brother, Mike Peters of Hampton; and a grandson, Bruce Honeycutt of Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Funeral Services for Mrs. Nell Peters Pierce, 85, Rt. 2, Hampton, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday from Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Clifford Smith officiating. Mrs. Anna Bess Dugger, soloist, will be in charge of music. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Butler Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of her daughter, Etta Jo Honeycutt, Rt. 3, Butler. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Thursday.
