Pilkton 08/09/99 Mrs. Lettie J. Pilkton, 89, 109 Hathaway Court, Elizabethton, died Saturday, August 7, 1999, at her residence following an extended illness Mrs. Pilkton was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late William Luther and Nattie Bunton Luther Tester. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ray Luther, and two sisters, Grace Blevins and Mae Buck. Mrs. Pilkton was a member of Elk River Baptist Church. She attended Watauga Academy at Butler and was a homemaker. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Paul Authenreith and Mildred and Russ Spetrino, all of Akron, Ohio, and Ruth and Bert Walsh, Watauga; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Barbara Pilkton and Dean and Carolyn Pilkton, all of Elizabethton; two step-brothers and their wives, Carroll and Rosemary Tester, Butler, and Harvey and Stella Tester, Elizabethton; six grandchildren, Billy Pilkton, Atlanta, Ga., Karen Pilkton, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Kim Walsh Yarbrough, Houston, Texas, Gary Walsh, Watauga, Shawna Pilkton and Apryl Pilkton, both of Elizabethton; and a great-grandchild, Aaron Richards, Port Charlotte, Fla. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. PILKTON -- Funeral services for Mrs. Lettie J. Pilkton, 89, 109 Hathaway Court, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Rev. Ray Green and Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. Music will be under the direction of Ray Don Markland and Wendy Potter. Entombment and committal services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. William R. Kincaid, Dr. Tony Ketras, Dr. James Mahoney, Dr. Kyle T. Colvett and the Hospice Staff. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence, 109 Hathaway Court, Elizabethton, any time. The family, friends, ministers and pallbearers will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
