Poole Ozie Black Poole, 89, 211 Rye Branch Road, Butler, died Saturday, December 9, 2000, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Poole was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late George and Callie Pilk Black. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clay Poole, in September 1968, three sons, Jack, James and Gene Poole, and five sisters. Mrs. Poole was a homemaker and a member of Elk River Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Mack Poole, of the home; three daughters, Nola Hodge, Hampton, Idoma Garland and Rachel Rainbolt, both of Butler; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a special granddaughter, Tammy Bobbitt, Hampton; and a special friend, Thelma Stanton. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, (423) 543-4917, is in charge of arrangements. www.Funeral-Plans.com/Tetrick POOLE -- Funeral services for Ozie Black Poole, 89, 211 Rye Branch Road, Butler, who died Saturday, December 9, 2000, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with the Rev. Russell Potter and the Rev. Mike Taylor officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, in the Lakeview Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Terry Stanton, Dave Hatley, Howard Rainbolt, Terry Reece, Toby Rainbolt and Richard Dugger. A special thank you to Johnson City Medical Center Hospice. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday for the graveside services. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence, 211 Rye Branch Road, Butler, at any time. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the charity of your choice.
