Potter 2/28/00 Mrs. Arabelle C. Potter, 81, 106 Flora Dugger Road, Elizabethton, died Sunday, February 27, 2000, at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Potter was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Dan and Sallie White Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Simon Arthur Potter, September 28, 1981, a brother, Roy S. Campbell, and a sister, Marie Hatley. Mrs. Potter was a homemaker and a former employee of North American Rayon Corporation. She was a member of the Elk River Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Gerald Buckles and Marcia and Mike Fletcher, all of Elizabethton; two sisters, Emma Taylor, Elizabethton, and Opha Green, Butler; two brothers, J.P. Campbell and E.C. Campbell, both of Elizabethton; and three granddaughters and a grandson-in-law, Paula and Gary Morrell, Stephanie Fletcher and Joy Fletcher, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Potter, 81, 106 Flora Dugger Road, Elizabethton, who died Sunday, February 27, 2000, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 29, 2000, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Rev. Doug Hardin and Rev. Earl Campbell officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Caldwell Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joey Campbell, Edward Campbell, Richard E. Campbell, Luther Woods, Eugene Buckles and Lawrence Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, friends and neighbors, Larry Hyder, Kevin Campbell, Verl Hyder, Ralph Fletcher, Wayne Nidiffer, Buddy Bowers, Leonard Winters, Robert Winters, S. Joe Taylor, Jack Hyder and a special nephew, Ronnie B. Taylor. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the home of a daughter, Marcia Fletcher, 102 Flora Dugger Road, Elizabethton, any time. The family, friends, ministers and pallbearers will meet at the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
