Potter Ruby Ellen Potter, 78, 202 Mountain View Dr., Hampton, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001, in Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness. She was a native of Carter county and a daughter of the late Dan W. and Julie Stout Potter. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. She was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corp., and she was a member of the Hampton Church. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathy Loveland, Hampton, Susan and Keith Whitehead, Elizabethton, Lois and John Ragno, Palm City, Fla., one sister, Helen Cates, Hampton, two brothers and one sister-in-law, Carl "Todd" and Dorothy Potter, Elizabethton, and Manley K. Potter, Jasper, Tenn., two granddaughters, Amber Loveland, Hampton, and Cheri Clavier, Knoxville, two grandsons, James Loveland, Hampton, and Benjamin Whitehead, Knoxville, and several nieces and nephews. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Elizabethton, is in charge of arrangements. www.Funeral-Plans.com/Hathaway-Percy POTTER -- Funeral services for Ruby Ellen Potter, 78, 202 Mountain View Dr., Hampton, who died Friday, will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, with Messers Dwayne Calhoun and Mike Koruschak, ministers, officiating. Music will be by No Name But His. Graveside service and interment will be Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, in the Cave Hill/Morton Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Fair, Phillip Nave, Mike Nave, John Clavier and Raymond Calhoun. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Friends may call at the residences of a daughter, Susan Whitehead, 117 Mary Lincoln Dr., Elizabethton, or the sister, Helen Cates, 315 Melrose St., Hampton.
