Presley Lena B. Presley, 85, formerly of Bishop Hollow, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton following an extended illness. Mrs. Presley was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Daniel and Mattie Lewis Bowers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Presley, in 1969, a son, Charles Leroy Presley, and a grandson, Robert Stout. Mrs. Presley was of the Baptist faith and was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and James Stout, Elizabethton; four grandchildren and spouses, Mary Ann and Ken Cryer of Washington, Bo and Cindy Stout, Elizabethton, Margaret Grindstaff, Hampton, and Cathy Holt, Elizabethton; and 10 great-grandchildren, Rachel, Jamie, Kayla, Jessie, Jessica, Brandon, Amber, Jaclyn, Justin and Cody. Presley, 85, formerly of Bishop Hollow, who died Monday, March 25, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 28, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Duncan officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, March 29, at Caldwell Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Stout, Ken Cryer and James D. Stout. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 9:55 a.m. Friday for the graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home. Friends may also call at the home of her daughter, Tina Stout, 1833 Highway 91, Elizabethton, at any time.
