Babe R. Puryear

   Babe Ruth Puryear, 75, died Sunday, October 31, 1999, at her daughter's 
home in Nashville.
   Mrs. Puryear was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late 
Sam and Nannie Hill Odom. She was also preceded in death by her husband,
Bill Puryear.
   Mrs. Puryear had lived in Nashville for the past 10 years.
   Survivors include a daughter, Muriel Puryear, Nashville, and two 
sisters, Mrs. Dot Grindstaff, Elizabethton, and Mrs. Roxie Buckles, 
Nashville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

   Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Roech, 
Patton, Austin, Bracey & Charlton Funeral Home, 1715 Broadway, Nashville.
