Renfro William Jack "Bill" Renfro, 75, 111 Lacy Hollow Road, Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2007, at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Earl D. and Ellen Margaret Bradshaw Renfro. Mr. Renfro was a retired electrician. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2166. He was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Loraine Renfro; a brother, James Herbert Renfro; and three great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Katie Stewart Renfro; a daughter and son-in-law: Patricia and Steve Miller, Kingston; his sons, William Renfro and wife Kim of Clinton, and his twin sons, Danny and Kenny Renfro, both of East Liverpool, Ohio; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Dayton "Gene" Richards, Bluff City, Romaine and Sheryl Watson and Mary and Roy Perry, both of Elizabethton; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Kenneth W. and Emma Renfro, Newell, W.Va., Robert and Pat Renfro, Dothan, Alabama and Dewey Renfro, Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim "Butch" Stout officiating. Graveside service and interment will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Emmert Cemetery. Music will be provided by Cheryl Renfro Walker, soloist. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, will be: Michael Jester, Christopher Henson, Billy Wade Renfro, Keith Renfro, Randy White, Sheryl Edward Watson, Brian Renfro and David Lowe. Honorary pallbearers will be Freddie Colbaugh, Aaron Glover and John Henson, his nieces and nephews and his special friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post 2166. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
