CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Pauline H. Ramsey, 14 Apr 2004

Pauline H. Ramsey, age 72, Dogwood Acres Circle, Hampton, 
died unexpectedly, Wednesday, April 14, 2004, in the Johnson City 
Medical Center Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was the 
daughter of the late Bart T. and Clarie Tolbert Smith, Sr. Mrs. 
Ramsey was a member of Union Baptist Church and a retired employee 
of Inland Container. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank 
E. Ramsey in 1989. 

Survivors include three sons, Jerry Ramsey, 
Kannapolis, N.C., Richard H. Ramsey, Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville, 
Fla. and Maj. Jeffrey D. Ramsey, U.S. Army, MacDill Air Force Base, 
Tampa, Fla.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, 
Mable Hitechew, Roan Mountain, and Sandra Range, Elizabethton; two 
brothers, Bart Smith, Jr., Butler, and Steve Smith, Hampton. 

The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2004, 
in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. James 
Strickland and the Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. 
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the 
service or at the residence, 267 Dogwood Acres Circle, Hampton, at 
any time. Interment will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 
Hampton. 
Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those 
who prefer, in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Carter County 
Emergency and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 682, Elizabethton, TN 37644.
