Range 03/11/99 Josephine Hoss Range, 86, formerly of 207 E. Mill Street, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Hermitage Health Care Center following an extended illness. Ms. Range was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Michael and Sarah Hill Hoss. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther A. Range, two sons, Jackie Range, in 1969, and Lewis Younce, in September 1998, and by four brothers and five sisters. Ms. Range was a member of Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of East Tennessee Undergarment Company. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, L.A. and Shirley Range and Jerry and Sandra Range, all of Elizabethton, and a daughter and son-in- law, Jo Ann and Earl Perry, Bluff City. Eleven grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. RANGE -- Funeral services for Josephine Hoss Range, 86, formerly of 207 E. Mill Street, Elizabethton, who died Wednesday at Hermitage Health Care Center, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Mr. Ernie Depew, minister, and Rev. Bill Younce officiating. Music will be under the direction of Rev. Bill Younce. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Anthony Davis, Tommy Range, Mark Davis, Chris Range, Joey Bowers, Daniel Range and Sandy Buck. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Burrow, Kenneth Burrow, Bob Hughes, Eddie Lipps, Bobby Lipps, Glenn Lipps, Wayne Smith, Dillard Sholes and the Nurses and Staff of Hermitage Health Care Center. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
