CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Theddy Mae Turbyfill Rasnick, 24 Sep 2003 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Theddy M. Rasnick Mrs. Theddy Mae Turbyfill Rasnick, 75, Rasnick Hollow Road, Watauga, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at her residence following an extended illness. A native of McClure, Va., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lillie Stansbury Turbyfill Sr. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church where she was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruah Eggers. Survivors include her husband, Earl Rasnick, of the home; seven daughters and six sons-in-law, Connie and Kenneth Oliver, Elizabethton; Judy and Bill Clawson, Johnson City; Gail and Lee Hoilman, Elizabethton; Cathy and Harold Massengill, Watauga; Debbie and Rev. Albert Jarnagin Jr., Elizabethton; Gena and Bobby Minton, Watauga, and Martha Humphery, Johnson City; four sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Kathy Rasnick, Watuaga; Jeff and Arzella Rasnick, Watuaga; Tim and Debbie Rasnick, Elizabethton, and Doug and Loretta Rasnick, Elizabethton; two sisters, Thelma Ward and Berlyn Ward, both of North Carolina, and one brother, Arthur Turbyfill Jr., Elizabethton. Twenty-two grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Theddy Mae Turbyfill Rasnick will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2003 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Dr. Kenneth Jordan and Rev. Dave Shorter officiating. Music will be under the direction of The Minton Family and Sandy Gass. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2003 in the Rasnick Family Cemetery with Doug Rasnick, RevDavid Ward and Rev. Albert Jarnagin Jr. officiating. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Fairview Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday or at the residence, 236 Rasnick Hollow Road, Watauga, at any time. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund, 585 Watauga Road, Watauga, TN 37694.
