A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late William and Lula Buckles. Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse T. Richardson, March 2, 1993, by two sisters and three brothers. She was a retired teacher and teachers aide in the Carter County School System. She was a member of the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church. Survivors include six daughters and five sons-in-law: Jessica and Richard Righter, Rachel Richardson, Katherine and Robert Norris, Janie and Howard Reed and Debbie and Mike Otis, all of Elizabethton; and Genny and Robert Burns, Ashburn, Va.; three sons and daughters-in-law: Allen and Lisa Richardson, Kim and Diana Richardson and William and Sherry Richardson, all of Elizabethton; one sister, Katherine Reed, Greeneville; 19 grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. RICHARDSON -- Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma "Billie" Richardson, 73, 129 Josiah Trail, Elizabethton, who died Friday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clarence Phillips, Dr. Thomas Peake and the Rev. Eric Wright officiating. Graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Richardson Cemetery. Katherine Norris, soloist, and Edwin Taylor, organist, will provide the music. Active pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Monday will be Nathan Taylor, James Righter, Will Righter, Richard Righter, Mike Otis, Matthew Otis, Justin Childers, Robbie Burns, Andrew Richardson, Chris Richardson and Jesse Richardson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Rev. Earnest Garland, the Rev. Wayne Murray, the Rev. Harry Moore, Wes White, R.M. Tester, Edwin Taylor, Jody Blevins, Dennis Arnold, Norman Buckles, Troy Buckles, Max Taylor, men of Shady Valley Presbyterian Church and men of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Richard Righter, 154 Josiah Trail, Elizabethton, or at the residences of any of the children. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Monday. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
