Renfro Miss Anna Laura Renfro, 93, 1806 Highway 91, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, December 19, 2001, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Miss Renfro was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Wade and Bessie Hampton Renfro. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Renfro and Latta Renfro. Miss Renfro was the Oldest Charter Member of Unaka Baptist Church where she had taught the Beginners Sunday School Class for a number of years. She was active in the Vacation Bible Schools. Survivors include two sisters, Jennieve Rains, Elizabethton, and Aleene Peters, Louisville, Ky., two brothers, Hampton Renfro, of the home, and Carl Renfro, Bellmore, N.Y.; and a special friend, Roscoe Peters. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. RENFRO -- Funeral services for Miss Anna Laura Renfro, 93, 1806 Highway 91, Elizabethton, who died Wednesday, December 19, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, December 21, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Walker Roberson and the Rev. Harold McNabb officiating. Music will be provided by the Rev. Harold McNabb. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22, in the Blevins Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Saturday, will be Tom McCloud, Mike McCloud, Jimmy Eggers, Kirk Carrier, Ryan Shoun and Harry Ford. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family, friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence.
