Robinson Nora P. Robinson, 96, 455 Airport Road, Elizabethton, died Monday, March 11, 2002, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Robinson was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Houston and Kate Trussler Pierce. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Blaine J. Robinson, two sons, Gerald Robinson and Gale Robinson, and a son-in-law, Donald Crowder. Mrs. Robinson was the oldest living member of Hunter First Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday School teacher for 25 years. She was a desk clerk at the Lynnwood Hotel for 17 years and was past president of the Hunter P.T.A. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Virginia K. Crowder, Johnson City, Betty Janese and Coy Wilson, Rome, Ohio, and Nina Jean and Billy Joe Campbell, Oak Ridge; 11 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren; and a special lifelong friend, Grace Thomas, Elizabethton. Robinson, 96, 455 Airport Road, Elizabethton, who died Monday, March 11, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 14, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with Dr. Dennis Deese, the Rev. Michael Wilson, grandson, and the Rev. Eric Eggers officiating. Music will be under the direction of Patty Hodge, soloist, and Sue Bowers, organist. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Billy Campbell, Brent Crowder, Larry Armstrong, Jerry Gouge, Ricky Wilson, Roger Lewis, J.C. Robinson and Mike Nidiffer. Honorary pallbearers will be David Fletcher, Rick Marshall, Kelly Bowers, Frank Childers, Buddy Bowers, Cecil and Lou Davidson, Sheb and Earnestine Minton, Raymond and Sue Rosenbaum, Elizabeth Townsend, Fred and Cleola Taylor, Barbara Crowder, Shirley Robinson, Lowell Garrison, Rebecca Buckles, Lawrence Hodge and the Rev. Burl Garland. A special "thank you" to Hampton Home Health Care. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home. Friends may also call at the residence, 455 Airport Road, Elizabethton, at any time.
