CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Minnie Arletha Roberson, 25 Nov 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Minnie Arletha Roberson, 91, Whitehead Hollow Road, Roan Mountain, died Thursday, November 25, 2004, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Roberson was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Georgia Pearl Ingram Arnett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Conley Roberson; a daughter, Gladys Garrison; a son, Jackie Estep; and three grandsons, Luke Smith, Terry Garrison and Charles Estep. Mrs. Roberson was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Shirlene Roberson and Gary and Joyce Roberson, all of Roan Mountain; seven daughters and five sons-in-law, Zedia and Don Musgrove, Butler, Mary Kate and Benny Feathers, Elizabethton, Eva and Bill Julian, June Roberson and Brenda and Roger Anderson, all of Roan Mountain, Ann and Nevil Smith, Augusta, Ga., and Frankie Brumitt, Hephzibah, Ga.; a sister, Corrine Hyder, Elizabethton; 33 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great- grandchildren; and a great host of wonderful friends and neighbors. Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, November 27, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Nevil Smith and Pastor Jerry Honeycutt officiating. Music was provided by The Victory Singers. Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 28, in the Blevins Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the following grandsons: Timmy Roberson, Tommy Roberson, Jeff Feathers, Vincent Brumitt, Matthew Smith and Jeff Brumitt. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Sunday. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence.
