MIDDLETOWN, Del. -- Bert "Ed" Roberts Jr., 71, of Middletown, Del., 
passed away at Calvert Manor in Rising Sun, Md. on Thursday. Born in 
Roan Mountain on November 26, 1932 to the late Bert and Corda Roberts, 
Ed was a carpenter.
He was also the owner of Bea's and Ed's country kitchen and sub shop of 
Middletown. 
Ed enjoyed camping, fishing, bluegrass music and spending time with his 
beloved dog Joe.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife of 43 years Beatrice Brummitt Roberts; 
two sisters Gladys Ostrowski and Nan Brummitt, of Elizabethton, and many 
nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held for Ed on Sunday, April 25, 2004 from 7 to 9 
p.m. at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, 
Delaware. The funeral service will be held Monday, April 26, 2004 at 11 
a.m. at the funeral home. The burial will follow at Townsend Cemetery, 
Townsend, Delaware. 
Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, Del. is 
in charge of arrangements.
