Ritchie Miss Bonnie Mae Ritchie, 90, 111 John Alfred Loop, Elizabethton, died Saturday, December 22, 2001, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Miss Ritchie was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Sanford and Sarah Grindstaff Ritchie. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Willie Ritchie, March 6, 2000. Miss Ritchie was retired from Hobert Hardin General Store. She was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Lottie Taylor, of the home; a half sister, Helen Smith, Elizabethton; a niece, Janet Staats, Pittsburgh, Pa.; a nephew, Wayne Ritchie, Elizabethton; two special nieces, Sherry Townsend and Holly Townsend, both of Elizabethton; a sister-in-law, Florence Ritchie, Elizabethton; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and her special friends, Charlotte Nave, Mac Merritt, Edith Buckles and Pereda Weaver. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. RITCHIE -- Funeral services for Miss Bonnie Mae Ritchie, 90, 111 John Alfred Loop, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, December 22, 2001, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 25, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Duncan and Mr. Ed Wheeler officiating. Music will be provided by Mr. Ed Wheeler. Interment will be in the Ritchie Cemetery with the Rev. Clate Briggs officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, will be Jimmy Eggers, Jason Rockmore, Norman Peters, Mark Ritchie, Gene Ritchie, Ernest "Gebe" Ritchie, Terry Oliver and Bobby Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jonathan Bremer, George Estep Jr., Joseph Sturm, Randall Sturm, Paul Grindstaff, Tom McCloud, Clyde Peters, Kenneth Shankle, the Nursing Staff of the 3rd Floor of Sycamore Shoals Hospital and members of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church.
