Stevens Nannie Christin Stevens, 93, 522 Long Hollow Road, Elizabethton, died Thursday, February 16, 2006, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Mrs. Stevens was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Dan and Katie McKinney Ingram. Mrs. Stevens was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Stevens, in 1982, two sons, Carl Stevens and Thomas William Ingram, and by three brothers and five sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Bernice Taylor, Elizabethton; a son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Judy Stevens, Johnson City; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Townsend, of Maryland; and an honorary daughter, Katie Banner, Elizabethton. Funeral services for Mrs. Stevens will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, February 17, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with B.J. Taylor, Shane Taylor, Pastor Bobby Stout and Rev. Mickey Beal officiating. Music will be provided by B.J. Taylor III. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, in the Blevins Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Mickey Beal Jr., Shane Taylor, B.J. Taylor, Don Banner, Lucas Teague and Adam Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jonathan Bremer, Dr. Scott Caudle, Dr. Peter Tuberty and Dr. Zima. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, prior to the service hour. Friends may call at the residence at anytime. Pallbearers, family and friends will assemble at the funeral chapel at 10:15 a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery. Online condolences to the Stevens family may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
