Mrs. Street was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Burg and Belle Roberts Shell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shirrell Street, two brothers, and a grandson, Michael Street. Mrs. Street was a member of Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of ITT Telephone Company as an inspector. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Ray Huskins, Mauldin, S.C., and Sherry and Raymond McIntosh, Elizabethton; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Sharon Street, Elizabethton; and a sister, Rhoda Maude Eraci, Chicago, Ill. Five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mrs. Street will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, September 15, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Robinson and Rev. Jackie Cole officiating. Music will be under the direction of Cathy Robinson and Glenda Arnold. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Thursday from 6 p.m. until the service hour. The entombment and committal service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, September 16, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Chris Huskins, Scott McIntosh, Darion Street, Rick McClure, Gary Simerly and Ed Simerly. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family of Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church, Robbie Dunlap, Gary and Madeline Smith, Bill and Joann Cannon, Gary and Kay Thomas, Dr. James Shipley, Linda Holly, Sonny Elliott, Steve and Jennifer Maddies, Richard Jarrett, Pink McKinney, Larry McKinney, Orville McKinney, Roy McKinney, her caregivers, Shirley Rhudy, Tagen Hamm, Kim Arwood, Marie Honaker and the Staff of ProCare. Those who wish to attend the committal service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery.
