Swift Patricia Ann Harrell Swift (formerly of Hampton) went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 19, 2007, after a courageous eight-year battle with cancer. Pat was the daughter of the late Malone L. Harrell and Bonnie Kate Jenkins Harrell of Hampton, Tenn. Pat and her family moved to Augusta, Ga., some 40 years ago. She was the Engineering Secretary at Kimberly Clark in Beech Island, S.C., when she retired with 25 years of service. She was a member of Burns Methodist Church in Augusta, Ga., and a member of the Sweet Magnolia Chapter of The Red Hat Society in Aiken, S.C. Pat recently moved to Cleveland, Tenn., to be closer to her family. Pat was a loving mother and nana, a wonderful sister, a steadfast friend and a faithful Christian. Survivors include her three sons, Greg Swift and wife Lisa of Cleveland, Tenn., Brad Swift of Camden, Ark., and Joe Swift and wife Tami of California City, Calif.; twin granddaughters, Rebecca and Rachael Swift of Cleveland, Tenn.; a sister, Jane King of Johnson City; her ex-husband, Charlie Swift of Augusta, Ga., and his brothers and sister and their families; special nephews and niece, Jamie Lovelace and daughter Jessica of Johnson City, Bonnie and Jeff White, son Luke and daughter Katie of Elizabethton, and Barry and Melissa Lovelace of Morgan City, La.; Uncle Lee and Aunt Betty Harrell of Sun City, Calif.; special cousin and friend, Sheila Cox Barbuck of Grant, Ala.; special friends, Brenda Everett and family of Augusta, Ga., Pam Thrillkill and family of Augusta, Ga., and Susan McCarty and family of Aiken, S.C.; the many faithful ladies of her church and Pastor Bill Burch of Burns Methodist Church in Augusta, Ga.; and her many co-workers and friends at Kimberly Clark in Beech Island, S.C. A special "thank you" to Dr. Shlaer and his staff in Augusta, Ga., for their loving care of her the last six years. Also to her doctors and all the staff at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Cleveland, Tenn., for their kind and loving care. "Thank You" to all the wonderful people at The Garden Plaza who helped make Pat feel at home during her short stay with them. There will be a Celebration of Life on Monday, May 21, at 2 p.m. at Morris- Baker Funeral Home South Chapel with Minister Greg Key of West Side Christian Church officiating along with members of the Swift family. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Monday, May 21, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. For Pat's many friends, family and co-workers in Augusta, there will be a Memorial Service on Tuesday, May 22, at 6:30 p.m. at Burns Methodist Church in Augusta, Ga., with Pastor Bill Burch officiating.
