CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Laura Grace Williams Scott, 12 Mar 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Laura G. Scott Mrs. Laura Grace Williams Scott, 81, Russell Hill Road, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton. Mrs. Scott was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Grant and Lula Casey Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Eugene Scott, two brothers, Kenneth Williams and R.G. Williams, and a grandson, Anthony Haire. Mrs. Scott was a former employee of North American Rayon Corporation and a cook at the former Bus Station. She was a member of Valley Forge Christian Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Bobby Rambo, Elizabethton, and Judy and Kenny Vines, Raleigh, N.C.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gene and Eleanor Prophett, Torrance, Calif., and Glen Scott, Elizabethton; a sister, Callie Deloach, Elizabethton; a brother, Jim Williams, Elizabethton; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and three special friends, Connie Scott Blevins, Raymond Glover and Randy Lovelace. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. SCOTT -- Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Grace Williams Scott, 81, Russell Hill Road, Elizabethton, who died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. H. Clay Bailey, minister, officiating. Music will be provided by Benny and Sharon Johnson. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, in the Chambers Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, will be Micky Rambo, Mike Rambo, Daniel Scott, Matt Scott, Chad Rambo, David Vines and Joseph Lauria. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Eugene Galloway, Dr. Shubert, Dr. Lloyd, Harold Jenkins and the staff of Life Care Center of Elizabethton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at her residence.
