CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Charlotte Phipps Schramlin Sellers, 31 Aug 2002 ----¤¤¤---- Charlotte P. Sellers Charlotte Phipps Schramlin Sellers, 302 West Doe Avenue, Elizabethton, died Saturday, August 31, 2002, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Mrs. Sellers was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Jacob A. and Nona Blevins Phipps. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, five sisters and two infant daughters, Charlotte Jean and Shirley Jane. Mrs. Sellers was a retired employee of the Raytheon Corporation, Bristol, with 32 years of service. She was a member of East River Park Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Woody Ornduff, Bluff City; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Sharon Schramlin, Kingsport; a sister, Jessie Phipps Starnes, Johnson City; a brother, Brown Phipps, Watauga; a grandson, John Schramlin; five granddaughters, Jeania Byrd, Shannon Seay, Deborah Price, Janie Broyles and Kathy Duffield; nine great-grandchildren; a special friend, Paul Sellers; and special grandsons, Dillon and Jeff. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. SELLERS -- Funeral services for Charlotte Phipps Schramlin Sellers, 302 West Doe Avenue, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, August 31, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jack Lyons officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 4, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Tim Broyles, Alden Duffield, Stanley Byrd, John Schramlin, David Sellers and Jakie Starnes. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Rogers, Bill Sellers, Ronnie Townsend and her nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at her residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
