Sheehan Mrs. Gloria "Snook" Grindstaff Sheehan, 77, 200 West K. Street, Elizabethton, died Sunday, August 12, 2001, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Sheehan was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late James Arthur and Alberta "Denny" Grindstaff. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Sheehan had worked for Dr. E.T. Pearson for a number of years. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, John Patrick Sheehan; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lucinda Sheehan Royal and Mark Royal, Raleigh, N.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, John Michael and Denice Sheehan, Lexington, S.C.; two sisters, Margaret Neil Hendrix, Greeneville, and Gladys Tatem, Elizabethton; and two brothers, J. Fred Grindstaff and Richard Grindstaff, both of Elizabethton; three grandsons, Patrick Royal, Raleigh, N.C., Brandon Patrick and Chase Michael Sheehan, both of Lexington, S.C.; a granddaughter, Graci Denice Sheehan, Lexington, S.C.; several nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Mary Violet Orr. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. SHEEHAN -- Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Gloria "Snook" Grindstaff Sheehan, 77, 200 West K. Street, Elizabethton, who died Sunday, August 12, 2001, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 15, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Richard Archer officiating. Interment will be at Happy Valley Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A prayer service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may call at the residence. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements
