A native of Carter County, Tenn., Miss Shell was the daughter of the late John Lemeul and Polly Birchfield Shell. Miss Shell was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Miss Shell was a former LPN with Appalachian and Memorial hospitals. She was a member of the Unaka Avenue Church of Christ. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Fatha) Crumley and Lydia Shell, both of Elizabethton, and the many friends of Hillview Health Care Center, and several nieces and nephews. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, Elizabethton, Tenn., is in charge of arrangements. www.Funeral-Plans.com/Tetrick SHELL -- Graveside services for Nell Shell, 87, formerly of 905 East Watauga, Avenue, Johnson City, Tenn., who died Friday, will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2000, in the Monte Vista Burial Park, Johnson City, Tenn., with the Rev. Clate Briggs officiating. The family received friends from 6-7 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2000, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home.
