Luther D. Shell 

Luther Daniel Shell, age 79, Life Care Center, U.S. Highway 19E, 
Elizabethton, died Monday, November 24, 2003, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital 
following an extended illness. 
A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late John and Flossie 
Phillips Shell. 
He was a member of Keenburg Freewill Baptist Church. 
He was preceded in death by one brother, L. J. Shell and four sisters, 
Grace Age, Mae Tipton, Charlotte Fazelle and Nell Whitehead. 
Survivors include two sisters, Berlyn Pardue of Augusta, Ga.; Dorothy 
Guinn, Roan Mountain. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 
The funeral services for Luther Shell will be conducted at 2 p.m. 
Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at Tetrick Funeral Home Riverside Chapel 
with Rev. Mark Street officiating. Music will be under the direction of 
Rev. Mark Street. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. 
Wednesday prior to the service in the Riverside Chapel. Interment will 
follow the funeral service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active 
pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers 
will be the residents, staff and nurses of Life Care Center of Elizabethton. 
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the 
Salvation Army, General Offices, 208 Ashe Street, Johnson City, TN 37601.
