Mr. Shoun was a native of Carter County and the son of the late Benjamin Dudley and Emma Belle Tribble Shoun. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ella Belle Shoun, four brothers and a sister. Mr. Shoun was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church and a retired employee of Bemberg Corporation. He was very active in the Carter County Republican Party. Survivors include his wife, Ethel White Shoun, of the home; a son, Roger Shoun, Elizabethton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Chad Ellis and Sherry and Wayne Clemons, all of Elizabethton; a brother, Bill Shoun, Elizabethton; two sisters, Hazel Elliott and Velva Nave, both of Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Pam Oaks, Patti Shoun, Traci Blackburn and Jeff Caldwell; three great-grandchildren, Amber Caldwell, Casey Gentry and Matthew Caldwell; and two special friends, Betty Avery and Barry Richardson. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. SHOUN -- Funeral services for Andy Shoun, 84, 2713 Highway 91, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Rev. Richard Jones and Rev. Eric Wright officiating. Music will be under the direction of Edwin Taylor, Chad Ellis, Kathleen White and Kathy Norris. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Earl Graham, Ralph Cole, John Henson, Johnny Holder, Luther McKeehan, Randal Lewis, Kenneth Lowe, Truman Clark, Jack Perkins and Barry Richardson. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen and Gary Morrell, Edwin Taylor, Wes White, L.D. Livingston, Jerry Campbell, Bart Hawkins, M.E. Fair, Rondal Lowe, Allen Richardson, Kim Richardson, Don Tetrick, nephews and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
