Shull, 81, 351 Vesta Circle, Melbourne, Fla., formerly of Elizabethton, died Saturday, December 30, 2000, at West Melbourne Health Care, following an extended illness. Mr. Shull was a native of Elizabethton and the son of the late Edgar and Rosalie Matilda Lackey Shull. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beryl Shull, in 1989, and a sister, Martha Shull. Mr. Shull was of the Methodist Faith. He was a retired mechanical engineer with Aerospace and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II with service as a Flying Sergeant and duty with the Flying Tigers in China. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He was a 50-year member of the Johnson City Masonic Lodge #486 F&AM and a member of AZAN Shrine Temple, Melbourne, Fla. Survivors include a son, John Shull, Elizabethton; a daughter, Lisa Bowling, Indianapolis, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Judy Winn, Navarre, Fla.; two sisters, Gwendolyn Pitts, Elizabethton, and Nan Donehew, Eustis, Fla.; and a brother, David Shull, Palm Desert, Calif. Six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. Shull, 81, 351 Vesta Circle, Melbourne, Fla., formerly of Elizabethton, who died Saturday, December 30, 2000, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 5, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with the Rev. Buford Hankins and Mr. Mike Bowling, minister, officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park with a Masonic Service conducted by the Dashiell Masonic Lodge #238 F&AM. Active pallbearers will be Ed C. Alexander, Harry Hutchins, Mark Gray, Ed Leach, Joe Alexander, Ellison Justice and Harold Ellis.
