Vernishia S. Simerly

Mrs. Vernishia Street Simerly, 85, 326 Oak Grove Road, Apt. 2, Gray, 
formerly of the Tiger Valley Community, died Sunday, February 2, 2003, 
at Select Specialty Hospital, Bristol, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Simerly was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late 
Taylor and Mary Street. She was also preceded in death by two brothers 
and three sisters.
Mrs. Simerly was a homemaker and was of the Non-Denominational Faith.
Survivors include her husband, Omar F. Simerly, of the home; a son and 
daughter-in-law, Eston O. and Judy Simerly, Bluff City; two grandsons 
and a granddaughter-in-law, Eric and Angela Simerly, Johnson City, and 
Jackson Simerly, Bluff City; and a great-grandson, Jackson Anthony Simerly, 
Johnson City.

SIMERLY -- Funeral services for Mrs. Vernishia Street Simerly, 85, 326 
Oak Grove Road, Apt. 2, Gray, formerly of the Tiger Valley Community, 
who died Sunday, February 2, 2003, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. 
Wednesday, February 5, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral 
Home with the Rev. Mark Street officiating. Interment will follow the 
service in the Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. 
Active pallbearers will be Norman Simerly, Eric Simerly, Jackson Simerly, 
Gregory Dorton, Randy Honaker and Wayne Pullon. The family will receive 
friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Words
