CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Edna M. Webb Smith, 17 May 2003 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Edna W. Smith Mrs. Edna M. Webb Smith, 75, 406 Daytona Place, Elizabethton, died Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Smith was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Wiley and Anah Morris Webb. She was preceded in death by one son, Mark E. Smith, April 14, 2003, and by two sisters, Edith Nidiffer and Lucille Simmons. Mrs. Smith was a former employee of Coleman Studio with 26 years of service. She Smith attended Harmony Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Earl B. Smith, of the home; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Tony and Charlene Smith, Bristol, Tenn., Mike and Beverly Smith, Columbia, Md., and Patricia Packett Smith, Lenoir City, Tenn.; five granddaughters, Tonya Smith, Bristol, Tenn., Alissa and her husband David Ongie, and Robin Smith, all of Johnson City, Rhianna Smith and Dierdre Smith, both of Roanoke, Va.; one great- granddaughter, Kaitlyn Cox, Bristol, Tenn.; one nephew, Wayne Nidiffer, Johnson City. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangments. SMITH -- Funeral services for Mrs. Edna M. Webb Smith, 75, 406 Daytona Place, Elizabethton, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2003, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with the Rev. Haskel Ingram officiating. Eulogy will be by Mrs. Helen Collins. Music will be by Mr. David Arney, organist. Graveside service and interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Emmert Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Colvett, Dr. Kelley, Dr. Stephen Smith, Dr. R. S. Martin, Janet Ensor, Anita Mains, Helen Collins, Audrey Collins, Kelly Collins. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 6:30-8 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Monday for the graveside service.
