CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Maude Ann Snodgrass, 18 Oct 2004 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Mrs. Maude Ann Snodgrass, 91, East "D" Street, Elizabethton, died Monday, October 18, 2004 in Hillview Health Center following a lengthy illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Garrett and Naomi Garland Street. She was owner and operator of Maude's Antique Store for 32 years and she was a member of First Christian Church, Elizabethton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Snodgrass in 1987; three sisters, Lockie Brumitt, Laura Ryan and Elizabeth Kennedy; three brothers, Nathan Street, Lawrence Street and Arville Street, and one half-brother, Eugene Street. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Sylvia and Jim Smith and Betty Jean Moore, all of Elizabethton; two half-brothers, Hazen Gary Street and Herbert Street, both of Elizabethton; three grandchildren, Scott Smith and his wife Deanne, Jonesborough; David Moore and Debbie Moore; three great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Moore-Adams, Noah Landon Smith and Alicia Nicole Smith. Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Ann Snodgrass will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2004 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Mr. Brent Nidiffer, minister, officiating. Burial will follow the service in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Richard Ryan, Scott Smith, Millard Fitzsimmons, David Moore, Joel Clark and Robert Clark. Thank you to four special friends, Wanda Rose Bennett, Nadine Ward, Kathleen Thomas and Wanda Bowers. A special thanks to the staff of Hillview Health Center. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday or at the residence, 317 East "D" Street, Elizabethton any time Tuesday afternoon, October 19.
