Stansbery Mrs. Maude Bunton Stansbery, 76, 147 Parsonage Road, Elizabethton, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at the residence of a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Arthur Turbyfill, 144 Parsonage Road, Elizabethton, following an extended illness. Mrs. Stansbery was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Samuel and Etta Gregg Bunton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ulas Stansbery, in 1957; an infant daughter; a sister, Ellen "Bunny" Shell; three brothers, Carl Bunton, Luther Bunton and Riley Bunton; and a son-in-law, Stanley Allen Bowers, who died March 11, 2001. Mrs. Stansbery was a member of the Meadow View Baptist Church, Butler. Survivors include one other daughter, Wanda Ruth Bowers, Elizabethton; two sisters, Bonnie Campbell, Butler, and Beulah VonCannon, Johnson City; a brother, Dennis Bunton, Limestone; two grandchildren, Todd Turbyfill and Tammy Rash and her husband, Lindsay Rash, all of Elizabethton; and two great- grandchildren, Joshua Jones and Andy Rash. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. STANSBERY -- Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Bunton Stansbery, 76, 147 Parsonage Road, Elizabethton, who went to be with the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 15, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Russell Potter officiating. Music will be provided by the Rev. Russell Potter. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, in the Bowers Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, will be Todd Turbyfill, Lindsay Rash, Harley Carden and Arthur Turbyfill. Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Arthur Turbyfill, 144 Parsonage Road, Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
