Tressie C. Story

Mrs. Tressie Campbell Story, 96, of St. John's Health Care, Gray, 
formerly of Hampton, died there Thursday, November 20, 2003.
Mrs. Story was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late 
Fate and Mollie Wilson Goodwin. She was also preceded in death by 
her first husband, Gaither Mort Campbell, in 1975, her second husband, 
Lawrence Story, in 2001, a grandson, Dennis Matherly, and by three 
brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Story was a member of Union Baptist Church, Hampton.
Survivors include a foster daughter and her husband, Madeline and 
Carroll Matherly, Gray; a sister, Geraldine Livingston, Elizabethton; 
a grandson and his wife, Mark and Crystal Matherly, Hampton; and two 
great-grandchildren, Joshua and Alysa Matherly. Several nieces and 
nephews also survive.
Memorial Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
