Stout, 81, Big Sandy Road, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Stout was a native of Carter County and the son of the late Cannie and Essie W. Stout. He was also preceded in death by a brother, L.Z. "Buddy" Stout, and a sister, Jeanette Richardson. Mr. Stout was of the Baptist faith and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include a daughter, Charlene Stout, Renton, Wash.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin (Libby) Stout, Elizabethton, Kimmy Stout, Burlington, N.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Stevie Stout, Elizabethton; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Ossie and Mary Stout and J.L. Stout, 81, 171 Big Sandy Road, Elizabethton, who died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 6, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Elmer Carter officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Captain Lynn H. Folsom VFW Post #2166. Active pallbearers will be Joe Carrier, Ronnie Carrier, Rondal Lowe, Jeff Stout, Dale Stout and Steve Stout. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home.
