Obituary appeared in the Saturday March 18, 1933 Elizabethton Star

Mrs. Eva Stout, 71 died at her home at Hampton Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock
after a prolonged illness.  Funeral services were to be conducted from the
home this afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. James Stout officiating.
Interment will be in the Morton Cemetery.  Pall bearers:  Carl Lunsford, Loss
Morton, Droughton Morton, Ray Morton, Monroe Potter, Oss Jackson.  Survivors
are her husband John L. Stout; one daughter, Mrs. Dan Potter, and five sons,
Bob, Earl, Gilbert, George and Abb Stout.  Flower Bearers: Mrs. Oss Johnson,
Mrs. Mary Lunsford, Mrs. Dollie Morton, Mrs. Alice Stout, Mrs. Anna Stout,
Mrs. Dora Stout.

(Evaline was the daughter of Thomas H. Peters c1830-1881 and Nancy Ann Morton
1836-1915)
