CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Albert C. Stout, 1 May 1972 ----¤¤¤---- Obituary appeared in the Tuesday, May 2, 1972 Elizabethton Star Albert C. Stout, 83, Marion, Va., died unexpectedly at his home at 12 noon Monday. Mr. Stout was a former resident of Hampton, having lived in Marion for the past eighteen months. He was preceded in death by a son, Reece Stout, in 1961. He was a retired employe of the Tennessee Chair Co. and a member of the Hampton Christian Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Dora M. Stout; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Bowers and Mrs. Grace Vaffara, both of Alexandria, VA., and Mrs. Ruth Myers, Marion Va.; one son, Paul Stout, Pacific Grove, Calif. one sister, Mrs. Dan Potter, Hampton; two brothers, Gilbert Stout and George Stout, both of Hampton; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Funeral services for Albert C. Stout will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday from the Chapel of the Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Eddie Owens, Minister, officiating. Mrs. Ralph Cox will be in charge of the music. Active pallbearers: Gurney Campbell, Bill Shaffer, E.C. Mathis, Ralph Cox, Clyde Cates, Raymond Calhoun, Luther Hall and Arvel Hall. Flowerbearers will be the Ladies of the Church and friends. The body will remain in the Funeral Home Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday. Friends may call at the Chapel anytime. Burial will be in the Hall Cemetery.
