CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Mildred C. Freeman Stout, 19 Dec 2003 ----¤¤¤---- CANTON, Ohio -- Mildred C. Freeman Stout, 84, of Canton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 19, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Stout was born on August 16, 1919 in Roan Mountain, Tenn., to the late Wilson and Elizabeth Caldwell Freeman. She was a founding member of Crabtree Free Will Baptist Church and a faithful and present member of Central Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Golden Sunshiners at Central Baptist Church in Canton. She will be remembered as a woman with endless faith in the Lord, and unconditional love for her family and friends. Everyone who came in contact with her loved her from the time they met her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert A. Stout; a sister, Maxie Arwood; a brother, Blaine Freeman; a first cousin, Mable McCroury; and a brother-in-law, Bill Lyons. Survivors include her children, Linda (Darwin) Miller, Larry D. (Lori) Stout and Wanda J. (John) Overcasher; two sisters, Mary Belle Lyons and Marie Hagie; grandchildren, Brian Miller, Christy Bordenkircher, Carri L. Overcasher and Amy, Erica and Lexie Stout; and a great- granddaughter, Brianna Marie Andreotti. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A very special thanks goes out to Dr. David Kimbell and the dedicated staff at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Newcomer officiating. Interment was in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours were held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 22, at Reed Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the church.
