A Carter County native, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Frances Wayson Arrowood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Anderson Stephens, a son, George Daniel Stephens, four brothers, and two sisters. She was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church of Roan Mountain. Survivors include four sons, Michael Anderson Stephens, of the home, John Stevens, Richard Stevens, and Ronald Stevens, all of Roan Mountain; three daughters, Beulah Tripp, Clearlake, Calif; Alice Harvey, Johnson City; and Juanita Buckley, Glendale, Ariz.; 28 grandchildren, several great- grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Tetrick Funeral Home, 423-543-4917, Rhododendron Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. www.Funeral-Plans.Com/Tetrick STEPHENS -- Funeral services for Eva May Stephens, 210 Willow Street, Roan Mountain, who died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Rhododendron Chapel, with the Revs. Bob Campbell and Richard Stout officiating. Music will be under the direction of the youth choir of Pearce's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and Blue Ridge Singers. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Capt. Nelson Cemetery, Ripshin. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone will meet at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at the funeral home chapel to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Rhododendron Chapel. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the charity of their choice.
