Mr. Street was a native of Carter County and the son of the late Joseph and Sarah Crain Street. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. Mr. Street was of the Free Will Baptist Faith and was a retired employee of Beaunit Fibers. Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Gardner, Janice Dugger and Wanda Gay Barnett, all of Roan Mountain; a son, Dennis Lee Street, Johnson City; and a sister, Frankie Campbell, Johnson City. Nine grandchildren, ten great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Tetrick Funeral Home, Rhododendron Chapel, Roan Mountain, is in charge of arrangements. www.Funeral-Plans.com/Tetrick STREET -- Funeral services for Lee Street, 89, formerly of 443 Burbank Road, Roan Mountain, who died Wednesday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Rhododendron Chapel, Roan Mountain, with Rev. Richard Blevins and Mr. Richard Moorhouse officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Street Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Active pallbearers will be selected from grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Rhododendron Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home. Friends may also call at the home of a daughter, Janice Dugger, 443 Burbank Road, Roan Mountain, any time. Those who prefer in lieu of flowers may make donations in memory of Mr. Street to their favorite charity. The family, friends, ministers and pallbearers will meet at the cemetery at 1:55 p.m. Friday for the graveside services.
