Mrs. Street was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Ed and Alice Lacey Miller. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ed Street, in 1974, a daughter, Joanna Bates Wilke, in 1996, and three brothers, John, A.H. (Coon) and Carl Miller. Mrs. Street was a Charter Member of Braemar Baptist Church. She was a former employee of North American Rayon Corporation and former owner and operator of Ed & Billie's Grill in Hampton. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Elizabeth Street, Hampton; four grandchildren, John Buddy Street II, Hampton, Roy B. Bates II, Norfolk, Va., Judy Jo Harris and Fred Edward Bates, both of Richmond, Va.; a great-granddaughter, Morgan Elizabeth Harris, Richmond, Va.; her stepmother, Nannie Miller, Hampton; two sisters-in-law, Cecelia Yeslineck, Clearwater, Fla., and Melba Street, Elizabethton; two aunts, Nell Hill, Roan Mountain, and Jay Gouge, Elizabethton; and an uncle, Jim Miller, Elizabethton. STREET -- Funeral services for Oleta "Billie" Street, 86, 116 Buddy Street Road, Hampton, who died Thursday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Rev. Bobby Stout and Mr. Albert Meehan officiating. Music will be under the direction of a grandson, John Buddy Street. Graveside services and interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from grandsons, grandsons-in-law, nephews and also Billy Street and Eston Shaffer. Honorary pallbearers will be Sherill Hazelwood, Dayton Harrell, John Lewis, Rev. Raymond Caudill, Rev. Charles Biggs, John Morrell, Arden Hill, Rev. Jack Hill, Dr. Paul Brown, the Staff and Nurses of 2300 Wing of Johnson City Medical Center and Wayne Holtsclaw. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may call at the residence of her son, Buddy Street, 116 Buddy Street Road, Hampton, any time.
