Street Mrs. Geneva G. Street, 74, 114 Sunset Drive, Roan Mountain, died Saturday, November 18, 2000, at Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Street was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Bernie and Maggie Gibbs Green. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bert Street, and two brothers, Zeb and Linville Green. Mrs. Street was retired from T.R.W. in Newland, N.C. She attended St. John's Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Thelma G. McGuire, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Geraldine Arwood, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Street, 74, 114 Sunset Drive, Roan Mountain, who died Saturday, November 18, 2000, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, November 20, at Rhododendron Chapel, Roan Mountain, with the Rev. Hugh Hatfield officiating. Music will be by Mrs. Charlotte Smith, soloist/organist. Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Steven McGuire, Scott McGuire, Steve Green, Mike Powell, Dana Dean Young and Jamie Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Buxhanan, Wayne Holtsclaw, Howard "Red" Matherly, Billy Street, Duncan Street, Danny Street and the staff of 5200 of Johnson City Medical Center. The family will receive friends at the Rhododendron Chapel from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. Friends may also call at the residence of a sister, Mrs. Geraldine Arwood, 176 Ruby Avenue, Elizabethton, at any time.
